Recently, starters based on condensers with high capacities, also known as 'supercapacitors', have become widely used. The practice shows that, for automobiles with powers of up to 150 hp, it is reasonable to use a supercapacitor produced at ELIT company (www.elit.ru), which has a capacity of 216 F and mass of 11.5 kg. A simplified block diagram of the developed starter is shown. The charging unit should be pulsed. It is examined whether it is possible to implement charging units on the base of forward and back fly voltage transducers. The conducted analysis of the transient processes that occur in the charging unit show that it is reasonable to implement the unit's circuit on the base of single-step forward fly transducer. The capacitor charging is completed within 10 min. Tthe consumer can preliminarily charge the capacitor prior to the motor's startup.
