Radar sensors are applied in the automotive industry for several applications like ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) or lane change support. As the functionality and requirements for sensors grow their performance has to be improved as well. In this paper a radar sensor with one transmit and a Uniform Linear Array of four receive antennae is introduced. This sensor has the capability, not only to resolve targets by velocity and range, but also in angle. A novel, computational efficient, high performance algorithm is proposed that is capable to resolve two targets in angle or find out that the number of targets exceeds the resolution capability. This is important for a realistic detection of targets around the vehicle.
