For the budget of a small satellite one can bring a swarm of Pico satellites in orbit. Unfortunately the controlling costs increase with the number of satellites. For reducing them, it is not sufficient to have only the autonomy at ground station. It is proposed that an extension for the on-board-software is also giving spacecrafts the autonomy for reducing mission costs. All extensions are based on standards or components of the shelf (COTS). After describing two autonomous missions and how they are implement autonomy the authors present their approach for an onboard software module. They use the same basic concept but stay in the context of standards and COTS. Chapter 3 gives a detailed description of the implementation. In chapter 4 the translation of command scripts is explained. First results are represented in chapter 5.
