Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) is one of the potential alternative power sources for transportation application due to its high energy efficiency, environmental friendliness and fossil independence. Vehicular PEMFC activities have been done in DICP (Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics) and Sunrise Power Ltd. for many years and achieved great progress In this paper, a typical PEMFC module is presented, and its structure and main components are introduced The PEMFC performances m the test station and FC system are elucidated. The PEMFC module with high fuel utilization and high safety can be used in a wide pressure range The rated power outputs are respectively 50 kW at the pressure of less than 0 5 bar (g) and 80 kW at 2 bar (g) The modes of connection and array of the stacks in FC modules can be changeable to meet well the limited space demands in vehicles
