Target detection procedures are in general based on a binary decision process. Alternatively, Detection Quality Measurement (DQM) schemes are considered to describe a more general target detection situation based on quantitative features and soft values in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). In this paper it is shown that DQM can be extended and defined separately for almost all signal processing blocks inside an ADAS. This paper is focused on the technical challenge to design DQM values specifically in multi sensor systems and sensor data fusion techniques.
