This paper introduces a miniaturized laserscanner system which uses a microactuator for laser beam deflection. It combines high angle resolution and long measurement range with small package dimensions and a cost effective, simple actuation mechanism. A first prototype is presented pointing out the functionality. By this means building up competitive and cheap systems for environment scanning and detection, e.g. for driver assistance systems, is feasible.
