Controller design via feedback linearization of the plant is a powerful approach to some of the nonlinear control problems. This paper presents the feedback linearization of a twin rotor helicopter model. Twin rotor system is a two input two output nonlinear system. The task is to control the angular position of the system. A state feedback controller is designed based on the resulting linear system. The effectiveness of the approach is shown by simulations.
