There are presented the different automotive applications for IR sensors ranging front climate control via CO2 sensing to windshield fogging and the respective miniaturized sensor system solutions. In the case of pyrometric applications, the demands can be met using innovative techniques, such as miniaturized sensor assemblies with integrated pre-amplification, ambient temperature compensation and an isothermal housing with high thermal mass and thermal conductivity.
