The objective of the paper is to provide different used cases of the high performance new 16bit XC164 in automotive applications. The focus will be made on challenges the automotive society has to accomplish to fulfill the market needs. The different system waves will be developed: powertrain, chassis & vehicle dynamic, and body & convenience. Furthermore emerging systems will be introduced: X-by-wire, E-safety. The presentation will highlight the motivation to introduction electronics in the car. The paper will consider the regional specificities (e.g, the usage of XC164 for motorcycle in China). A deep technical presentation will be performed to give to the audience/reader a comprehensive analysis of the performance and the features of the new XC164. Different electrical control unit block diagrams will be analyzed. The system benefits using the new XC164will be given. This paper will demonstrate the key elements to provide a powerful, scalable and configurable control solution that offer a migration pass to evolution and even revolution of automotive electronics.
