A sensory evaluation experiment was carried out using a driving simulator, which can independently control acceleration, operability, and sound, and the results were verified by an actual vehicle experiment. The influence of each factor on the evaluation by the driver was determined quantitatively. The following conclusions were obtained for the evaluation of acceleration performance feeling during slow acceleration in the present work. 1) The influence of sound pressure level and tone, which are the factors related to sound, in addition to acceleration and throttle characteristics, which are the factors related to acceleration and operation, is large. 2) Individual factor (primary effect) exert an influence, and in addition, so do a combination of factors. These results proved that the balance of multiple factors as well as individual factors must be studied when discussing factors related to acceleration performance feeling. In addition, the present method was proven to be an effective means of obtaining a guideline for determining how to set multiple factors. As the running mode was changed from the full throttle acceleration running reported earlier to slow acceleration running in this work, the influence of factors on acceleration performance feeling and engine acceleration sound evaluations has changed. Therefore, we will investigate in more detail the various modes driven by users and will continue study on quantitative evaluation of 'acceleration performance feeling' by taking into account the influence of the running mode.
