The level of acoustic isolation in civil buildings, in areas nearby airports, so as to ensure inside buildings, an adequate level of noise for the acoustic well-being was analyzed. The noise evaluation index LVA indicated a method for the determination of the isolation degrees to adopt in civil buildings in areas nearby airports. The possibility to use as external index the maximum L AMAX level reached by the event, assuming the criteria of the maximum acceptable noise level, was discussed. It was concluded that LAMAX index has been obtained for each airport zone and the acoustic isolation level has been determined in order to obtain the indoor desired values.
