In order to increase the service life of tracklayer's solid tire, polyurethane elastomers (PUE), a kind of macromolecule material was introduced for its excellent mechanical properties. In this paper, a 3-D solid model for stress distribution and a 2-D planar model for temperature distribution were set up based on finite element method. As an example, a PUE solid tire in steady state was calculated. Consequently, the stress and temperature distribution in steady state case were obtained. Furthermore, two convenient equations were built between velocity, flange thickness and the internal highest temperature by regression analysis. The results showed that PUE is superior to rubber on solid tire under lower velocity.
