The geometry of an Oblique Flying Wing Configuration has been parameterised. The parameterisation allows, in extension to previous studies, the description of widely arbitrary geometries, especially geometries with asymmetric planform (chord distribution and sweep), airfoil distribution, twist, and dihedral. The aerodynamic coefficients have been calculated with a higher order panel method; the viscous drag has been determined by an empirical method. A parallel genetic algorithm has been developed and used to optimise the Oblique Flying Wing's lift to drag ratios. The optimisation has been performed with different, realistic constraints concerning the available cabin space or the total aircraft volume. The aerodynamic properties have been calculated for a wide range of flight conditions to evaluate off-design performances.
