Basic forming principle, technological features of the equipment, the structure of MPF (multi-point forming) press, technical parameters of 2000 kN multi-point forming press are introduced in this paper. Hundreds of parts such as saddle-shaped parts, twist parts, ball-shaped parts, column-shaped parts and other irregular parts have been formed using this equipment, and some heat-resisting aluminium metal (LF3) covering of high-speed railways have been manufactured with clear benefits. The test results coincide well with the aimed shape. From the design, manufacture, assembly, debugging to production application, we can draw the following conclusions: The MPF press is used to the flexible forming of covering of high-speed railways, which shows practical applicability and advancement of MPF press. In the sheet forming field, MPF press has comprehensive market prospect. It's an advanced manufacture method, which can realize 3D sheet parts forming economically and rapidly.
