The development of mechatronics is a vital key for the future in mobile, self-sufficient systems. The amount will rise rapidly due to the increasing of sensors and actuators, in security, comfort and communication applications. Mechatronic modules consist by definition of mechanical components or functionalities, electronic components and the accompanying intelligence by appropriate software. An optimum at total functionality with simultaneous minimization of the expenditure and thus the system costs requires suitable design tools, deep understanding for functional rapidly prototyping and proper packaging technologies. Exemplified a design sequence is shown for a mechatronic subsystem. The required interfaces and methods are examined particularly to couple the mechanical and electrical design, in order to perform a real mechatronic design approach. It is represented, how functional rapidly prototyping of development processes of the Packaging can accelerate and improve electronics. The presentation is rounded off by a view on the procedures from packaging of mechatronic components and the possibility to use these processes on own developments.
