The impulse response (Green's function) of a tire, modelled by a thin orthotropic plate under tension on an elastic support, is evaluated analytically in the time domain. The approach uses the circular property of the tire and Poisson's formula. Comparisons are made with the values obtained by performing an inverse Fast Fourier Transform on the Green's function derived in the frequency domain.
