The most important purpose of proper control of hybrid drive is to reduce engines fuel consumption and battery's discharging, obtaining the fill balance of its State of Charge (SOC) during the analysed real driving time. For this condition it is easy to note that decreasing of battery current and SOC is connected with fuel consumption. This statement is also true in other way, what means that value of used electricity and fuel energy should be constant for comparable driving cycles for constrains that efficiency of power distribution is equal one. The real efficiency factors of drive components strongly depend on torques, shaft speeds or currents and voltages, especially in real driving cycle. For this reason absolutely necessary is to include the functions of efficiency of drive in simulations studies. The problem is focused on proper real-time ('on-line') drive control, where the function of target is to minimize fuel and electricity consumption. The paper presents the method of resolving this problem using mathematical modelling. There have been used the real data and proper modelling of drive and its components. These considerations could be also extended on every hybrid drive configuration.
