Hydromechanical transmissions belong to the most complicated units of modern automobiles. Nowadays, the perfect apparatus of the main units - multistage planetary gear mechanisms (gearboxes) - analysis and synthesis has been developed. One of the main tools of this kind of gearbox kinematic schemes synthesis is the well-known 'plan of speeds'. At the same time, the theory of mechatronic automatic control systems, that belong to the 'youngest' automotive systems, is still far from finished and their designing is practically based on the intuitive method and designer's skill. The main way of visual represantation of system functioning laws is graph in coordinates of vehicle speed and throttle opening degree, on which lines of speed changes points are given, that previously calculated by traction and fuel consumption valuation. In spite of the appearance of new speed changes laws valuation methods, for example fuzzy logic methods, this graph is now also widely used. In this paper, improvement of given methods is proposed that permits not only to execute qualitative analysis, but also to work out many valuation tasks up to the characteristic dimensions of the hydraulic valves, tolerances of shift points and evaluation of the system's accuracy.
