As the electronics, communication and sensory contents of intelligent transport systems are introduced in modern vehicles, there is the need to integrate all the systems within a vehicle network. When the systems are integrated within the vehicle network, the issue of message prioritisation, data conflict resolution and data collision detection becomes important. This can be more essential during the safety critical functional scenarios of the vehicles. This paper presents an intelligent message prioritisation system using FNN (Fuzzy Neural Network) techniques for deciding data priority. Such a system is aiming to provide message priority dynamically, especially when a new device is introduced into an in-vehicle system network. The suggested system is expected to be able to provide message prioritisation on any occasion. When new devices are introduced within an integrated network, the intelligent system is expected to take new devices into consideration automatically with real-time function capabilities.
