A 25.5 inches (ID) free hanging (catenary) titanium riser was designed for the Asgard B semi-submersible located in 305m water depth. A pre-engineering carried out during the spring 1999 proved that the concept is technically feasible. The riser was developed as an option for pig launching from the floater to the 42 inches gas-export pipeline from the Asgard field to Karsto.
