Thermoplastic adhesives have some advantages over thermoset adhesives, including lower stress, higher thermal conductivity, lower modulus and ease of rework. Thermoplastics have been demonstrated to work as well as, if not better than, thermosets in MCM applications. They also have been demonstrated to meet military requirements.
