The paper is focused on the specific features in operation of NPP pipeline devices (PLD), the principles of their control, recommendations on the use of passive mechanisms, possibility to apply shape-memory (SM) alloys and devices manufactures on the basis of SM alloys. It is proposed to upgrade PLD using non-standard means (mainly, shape memory) in the following directions: easily removable fixing-sealing elements (valve seat sealing, welded joint reinforcing elements); fast-acting modular vibration and seismic resistant easy to dismount pneumatic-spring drives; small-size non-reducing electrically-driven progressive and rotary drives; smart (passive and direct action) PLD. Isolators of working fluid directly exposed to the flow rate and with opening the control circuits are considered. PLD of diversified design are recommended. The use of passive devices that are initiated by loss of power, changes in flow rate, pressure and temperature is highly advisible.
