The traditional centrally controlled manufacturing systems have reached their limits. In terms of flexibility and perturbation stability or even programmability and testability improvements are demanded. In this context, Holonic Manufacturing Systems (HMS) are gaining much more importance because it is expected that they provide the demanded improvements. The holonic systems are very flexible, cooperative, autonomous and even intelligent. In this article a holonic control system for mobile transport robots is presented. In this context a new form of holonic system is proposed: the Asimov-Holonic-System (AHS).
