A simulation program in the Matlab environment has been developed to predict structural integrity in terms of fatigue crack growth, residual strength and fatigue life for multiple site damage (MSD) panels found in aging aircraft. Analytical solutions are used to predict the residual strength, fatigue crack growth and fatigue life based on specific criteria. The results obtained from the simulation program are compared with existing experimental data from fatigue tests on 2024-T3 aluminum panels. The developed simulation program is useful for both training and professional use in predicting the structural integrity of MSD panels in preliminary studies.
