NUCARS is a generalized multi-body dynamics model created by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) to expedite the adoption of new car designs into general interchange service in North America. Since 1989, the NUCARS user base has expanded to include North American railroads, industry suppliers, consulting groups, the U.S. government, and transport industry organizations worldwide. To date, the program has successfully solved a broad range of problems beyond those associated with the certification of new car designs.
