The TRIangulated Sea MAP (Trismap) is a software intended to reduce the operator intervention during the post-cruise data validation and to produce a seafloor map suitable for automatic calculation of seafloor depth and seafloor slope. The produced map will replicate features that are anomalous with respect to the local noise-as a consequence, while small features like the seafloor sand ripples will not be seen, isolated targets above a certain size will be visible on the sea map. The principles underlying the software are presented.
