This radio control system for a diesel locomotive employs fm tuning of very weak electric waves outside the usual regulation range of the radio low and is both labor saving and rational. With this equipment the same operations can be performed by wireless remote control as if a driver were in the locomotive using a portable transmitter in 'point' operation. the power for the receiver is supplied by a dc-dc inverter and all surges from the locomotive electrical equipment are prevented. With all these features, operation reliability was insured in the chiba plant of kawasaki steel corp.
