Electronic warfare capability of grumman ea- 6 b electronic countermeasures (Ecm) aircraft is being expanded enabling new navy aircraft to cope with recently detected foreign radar threats and heavier concentrations of hostile radar. the system includes jammers in high microwave frequencies and some uhf regions, analog and digital recorders. A single jammer will handle more than one hostile emitter. Part of the system is an ibm 4 pi general purpose computer doing processing for the tactical jamming system and the navigation system as well.
