Process using the Diesel engine strucutre, (DI). After the described conversion, the new engine becomes able to operate with alcohol fuels - pure or mixed - anhydrous or not. This is obtained with limited engine re-machining: Power cylinder head - Pistons. The engine fueling is still (DI) however the injection pump and injectors are different. Those elements are specially designed for the alcohol fuels service. The combustion air flow is controled. The fuel quantity injected is governed by a pneumatic servo system. An ignition system is used - its main characteristics has been re-designed to suit the higher final compression pressure. The new power level is increased at the same rotating speed if compared with the Diesel. The efficiency obtained at full load is egal or better than Diesel. Still compared with basic engine, the combustion maximum pressure is lower and peak-less. Thus the noise level is reduced together with the mechanical stresses. The gas leakage is reduced (blow-by). Those new conditions creates less oil charge pollution and globally makes the engine remarkably reliable.
