This paper presents data developed on compounds of ethylene/acrylic elastomer and fluorelastomer which were formulated for improved performance in gasketing applications. The information describes the longterm stability of the compressive modulus and other physical properties after aging in hot engine oils. Direct comparison is made throughout to a high performance, commercial silicone rubber compound frequently used in engine rocker cover and oil pan gaskets.
