A general purpose simulation program for the analysis of ROV dynamics is described. The mathematical model that is the basis of the program is outlined and in particular those features unique to ROVs are highlighted. The modular nature of the resultant program is explained along with the requirement to make the program robust to subsequent modifications. The resultant program is currently being used in conjunction with extensive model tests to predict the motion of the Seapup vehicle.
