This paper describes progress and current status on the development of alpha silicon carbide components for both the AGT 100 and AGT 101 Advanced Gas Turbine Programs. The general approach taken to the successful fabrication of ceramic parts is presented. For each component, the following considerations are given: fabrication approach; problems encountered; solutions implemented to resolve problem areas; and progress demonstrated.
