This report describes the theory, implementation, and use of the Dynamic Design-Analysis Method (DDAM) in the NASTRAN finite element sructural analysis computer program. DDAM is the procedure used in the shock design of shipboard equipment. Since such equipment is also frequently analyzed with NASTRAN, the inclusion of DDAM in NASTRAN greatly enhances the efficiency of the design-analysis process.
