As part of research on driver's outfit, the Japan Marine Science and Technology Center (JAMSTEC) executed a questionnaire survey concerning the using condition of a diver's watch, its impact test, measurement of loosening of its watch band, and effects of helium gas penetration, and it was pointed out that problems were posed in the mechanism of locking the watch to the bezel ring, improvement in the watch band, and necessity of pressure-resistant tests, etc., on the internal components of the diver's watch of the saturation diving specification.
