Hole drilling for fastener and fitting placement is a widespread need in the aerospace industry. The labor intesity and repetition inherent in those operations has led General Dynamics/Fort Worth Division to implment robotic methods to increase producitvity in these areas. This paper details the methods by which this automation is being accomplished.
