More research in the ergonomics of man-powered vehicles are required. The ergonomic aspects of human-power production, especially maximum force and power output are discussed. The research on low-speed incompressible flow around wheeled vehicles running on smooth surfaces is proposed. Transmission efficiency of derailleur gears is 98...99 % but only if thay are clear. Collision and accident mechanics of cycling persons is not enough explored. Bicyclists greatest need is for brakes that are effective in wet weather. Fatigue data for composites and other new materials are not known. (Jarc)
