The fabrication of thick structural laminates from Narmco 5208/T300 graphite/epoxy pre-preg has presented problems of dimensional and void content control. This paper describes the fabrication process development conducted on Laminar Flow Control wing surfaces for passenger transport applications to achieve thick laminates of high quality. The steps addressed include prebleeding, layup, tooling aids, and curing to achieve the required laminate quality. (Stoehr)
