The generation of large quantities of solid waste at Army Ammunition Plants provides a potential fuel source to reduce dependence on costly fossil fuels. The current methods of disposing of this waste don't take advantage of the 15,7 MJ/kg heat content of the waste. The report discusses the potentially hazardous conditions of processing this waste for use as a fuel. (Stoehr)
