The modern commercial airplane thousands of manufactured parts and only in the last few years has a concerted effort been made to reduce the enormous costs associated with deburring and finishing. Material range, quantity, physical size and tolerances all contribute to the complexity of the problem. What is being achieved? What is needed? (Wassmann)
