The prefinished interior panels in today's marketplace show a dramatic improvement over panels produced just eight years ago. Aesthetically they are more realistic and physically they out-perform their predecessors. Most importantly these improvements were made in conjunction with coating systems changes to clean up the atmosphere. Pollution reduction was made an economic reality with changes from non-exempt coating systems and in many places to waterbase coating systems. As the atmosphere becomes cleaner, the materials and their methods of application continue to meet the challenge. (Wied)
