The subsea manifold center described here is a one-atmosphere chamber containing the necessary means and production equipment to collect and commingle the flows from several subsea completed satellite wells before discharging it to a process tower. The production system is integrated with a supervisory control system, as well as with its own electrical and hydraulic systems. There are two modes of operation-normal (electrohydraulic), and override (hydraulic). Overrice which is a back up mode is further split into primary and secondary functions to deal with possibilities of partial or complete electrical failure in the field. Manned access is provided for, as well as life support and environmental control systems. Major features of the one-atmosphere manifold system are early production, versatility in field development, protection of subsea components, and manned access for servicing and maintenance.
