Applicability of linear viscoelasticity to the characterization of AS/3501-6 Graphite/Epoxy material under severe environment was investigated in this Phase I program. Specific studies included development of master curves reflecting material dependence on time, temperature and humidity and resolution of the question as to whether a specific thermal conditioning environment can be directly substituted for a specific moisture conditioning environment over a prescribed temperature vs. humidity range.
