The Air-Force is embarking on a major new initiative in manufacturing. The Department of Defense, through the Air Force, has programmed 75.8 million dollars for Integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing (ICAM) technology establishment and demonstration. These funds will be contractually obligated during the time period 1977 through 1982. This paper presents background, establishes the current position of the technical program, and displays how it is expected to be manned and managed.
