A large aerospace computerized design and information management system, IPAD (Integrated Programs for Aerospace-Vehicle Design) is being developed at Boeing for use by the aerospace industry. It is funded by a NASA contract. As an initial step a team of Boeing engineers, in close coordination with NASA and aerospace industry engineers, developed a set of user requirements. This paper describes the scope of IPAD, the planned development schedule, the process of development and analysis of the use requirements and an overview and summary of these requirements.
