Radiators are provided on the Space Shuttle Orbiter for rejecting waste heat produced inside the vehicle while in earth orbit. The Orbiter radiator system is described and trade studies leading to the final design are presented. Interfaces between structural requirements and thermal performance goals are discussed. Orbital thermal performance predicitions are presented and full-scale radiator test results are compared to predictions. Projected radiator system weights are also presented.
