A description is given of US Air Force Standard 1750A, which is expected to dominate spacecraft data-processing technology for the next decade. The latest computers/microprocessors that are candidates for spacecraft are surveyed, and the status of spacecraft computer software is discussed. Finally, some important architectural issues are considered.
