Metrological support MS to data-acquisition systems DAS is important in providing comparability in the measured characteristics of gas-turbine engines GTE during development, routine production, and operation. The purpose of testing a GTE in transient states is to examine the dynamic features of engine (startup, including acceleration), and so on under stepwise changes. It is shown how the derivation of analytic expressions enables one to discuss channel dynamic characteristics and to correct dynamic distortions by means of regularizing algorithms. It has been found that if this is not done, the errors in direct measurements on physical quantities in GTE under transient conditions may be up to 10%, while those for the indirectly measured or calculated parameters may be tens of percent.
