A compact positioning system which receives two different frequency signals from NNSS satellites has been developed. This equipment enables worldwide accurate positioning service. This accurate positioning is improved by the adoption of 400/150 MHz reception. This paper describes the principle of position fixing and Toshiba's newly-developed TOSNAV-709 model whose positioning accuracy is only 55 m RMS.
