The execution time for conventional artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms running on state-of-the-art hardware is frequently too slow to be usable under real time battlefield conditions. The situation worsens as the algorithms grow more complex and the knowledge base increases in size. This article describes the (AI)2 concept, which has been developed to address this problem.
