In the practice of gas purification and dust trapping it is sometimes impossible to utilize mass-production instruments to measure the pressures of gas flows and their differentials owing to the substantial content of dust, moisture, and corrosive substances in the flows being monitored. The most acceptable method in this case is to utilize the flow of a pure, inert gas which is fed into the gas piping through a pneumoresistor transducer. The pneumoresistor transducer is composed of type P2.D. standard chokes of the first kind. The choke elements are connected sequentially in pairs to form two pressure dividers from the supply, which comes from a constant delivery element. The overall resistance of the primary transducer depends on the geometrical dimensions of the components in its elements and the resistance at the output.
